How we work
Roche people, patients and medicines

Roche aims to be an effective and valued healthcare partner. This is how we see ourselves and how we strive to be viewed by NHS managers and healthcare professionals, government bodies and patient groups alike.

As one of the major pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies in the UK, Roche develops and provides an innovative range of products and services that help healthcare professionals improve the health and well-being of the UK population.

Supporting our medicines are a range of innovative services that add value for patients, clinicians, health service commissioners and NHS managers. We support the aims of government in enabling more services to be delivered in the community setting, such as GP surgeries; improved patient choice; and supporting early disease intervention to prevent long term suffering. In particular, many of our innovative oral treatments themselves enable the shift from hospital to community based care in some cases by replacing intravenous drug treatments, where there is equivalent efficacy, whilst at the same time alleviating capacity pressures in hospitals and freeing up the time of nurses and pharmacists.
